What will I learn?

SFU’s Master of Publishing (MPub) program helps graduate candidates develop the practical and conceptual tools they need to launch their career in the fast-changing publishing industry and contribute to the creative sector in Canada and beyond. Taught by publishing practitioners and research faculty, along with masterclasses from industry leaders, the program offers a blend of seminar and hands-on project courses that provide tomorrow’s industry leaders with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for a successful career. This program consists of course work, an internship, and the requirements from either a project or course option for a minimum of 47 units.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for admission to the Master of Publishing program, applicants must have a bachelors degree with a minimum second-class average (3.0 or greater GPA).

Applicants for whom English is a second language must submit results for a TOEFL (minimum score 570 or computer based 230) and a TWE (minimum score 5). Alternatively, an International English Language Testing System,
