What will I learn?

Construction engineers are problem solvers who combine critical and analytical thinking, time management, people management, project management, estimating, planning & scheduling, project control and communication skills with their knowledge of construction and engineering methods to build facilities that are safe and on budget. The Hole School of Construction Engineering is supported by the Construction Innovation Centre (CIC) to bring construction engineering research and expertise together under one umbrella, to innovate processes, enhance construction efficiency and safety.

A baccalaureate degree or its academic equivalent from an accredited academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta.3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale on the most recent two-years of full-time study (or equivalent) (MSc Program)3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale on the most recent two-years of full-time study (or equivalent) (MEng Program)3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale on the most recent two-years of full-time study (or equivalent) (PhD Program)The Departments minimum admission requirements are a four-year undergraduate degree with an average of 3.0 in the last two years of undergraduate work (or graduate work) at the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
