Our three-year Software Engineering Technology program at Conestoga is ideal if you want a career in Mobile Applications, Embedded Systems, the Internet of Things, Simulations, or Big Data.


This advanced diploma program offers a focused, hands-on approach, allowing you to learn various languages and technologies, including web development, databases, business intelligence and cybersecurity.


You can apply for the optional sixteen-month co-op after your first year, gaining valuable work experience. The flexible third year allows you to select program options to enhance your skills.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with mature student status (See Mature Student definition for details.)
  • Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251)
  • Grade 12 Mathematics, C or U (MCT4C or MHF4U or MCV4U or MDM4U), or equivalent, or Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics for Technology & Apprenticeship (MATH1385)
  • Minimum grade required for:
    • MCT4C 60%
    • MHF4U, MCV4U 50%
    • MDM4U 70%
    • MATH1385 60%
