What will I learn?

The Applied Sciences and Engineering Fundamentals Ontario College Certificate program is designed to help students meet the academic requirements for admission into Humber’s applied sciences and engineering degree programs. This program provides a comprehensive foundation in essential science, mathematics and technology subjects, ensuring learners acquire the skills and knowledge required for further studies in engineering and the applied sciences. Students will explore core topics such as physics, calculus, computer science and technical communications, preparing them for the rigours of engineering and applied sciences education. The program emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, fostering the academic confidence necessary to succeed in higher education. In addition to academic preparation, students will have opportunities for hands-on experience through lab work, group projects and the application of technology in solving real-world problems.

Admission selection is based on the following three requirements: Academic To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses: Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent) Grade 11 or 12 Math (MCR3U, MCF3M, MBF3C, MHF4U, MCV4U, MDM4U, MCT4C, MAP4C, or equivalent) or Mature student status or College or university transfer status
