Financial Technology (FinTech) blends finance, data and digital tools to innovate and improve payment processing, banking, security, investing and other financial services. Whether your previous education is in finance, business or computer programming, this graduate certificate will equip you with the unique set of skills needed to work in the growing FinTech industry.
This program teaches more than how to use existing FinTech systems - it also prepares you to help build the systems of tomorrow. In your first semester, you'll learn fundamentals of finance, technology, data science and AI, and regulations in the finance sector. You'll then build on that knowledge with in-depth courses in AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, blockchain and other emerging technologies.
Gain hands-on experience using the latest tools and software through labs, case studies, group projects and a final capstone project. Many of your problem-based learning exercises will involve collaboration with industry partners and peers from other disciplines. The program also includes an optional co-op that can provide you with up to 360 hours of real-world experience.
