What will I learn?

The Department of Immunology, the first in Canada, was founded in 1969. Since the early 1990s, its focus has been on the establishment of a multidisciplinary program in Immunology, encompassing basic and clinical biomedical scientists with expertise in a broad range of immunological topics. The Department has received international recognition for major research involving basic immunology, interdisciplinary work, translational immunology and collaboration with industry. With primary and cross-appointed faculty, a comprehensive program of graduate and postdoctoral training, and strong links with immunologically based research groups, the Department of Immunology offers extensive professional opportunities for advancement. The Ph.D. option consists of coursework and a substantial research component.Expected Duration - 4 years.

Entry requirements

For international students

The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Immunology (PhD) program.To be considered for admission into the Immunology PhD program, you must have a master's degree or equivalent with a recommended GPA above 3.5. Relevant laboratory research experience with evidence of peer-reviewed publication is preferred, but not required.The Department of Immunology requires a minimum TOEFL score of 88 (internet based), with a minimum of 20 points from each section of the rest.
