What will I learn?

Graduate students conduct research under the supervision of a faculty member in one of four research areas. Our research programs and laboratories are supported by four technologists, and also by staff from the Engineering Computer Centre. The department is connected to other divisions across campus, including Engineering Physics and Biomedical Engineering. It is composed of 19 faculty and six technical and administrative support staff. Three faculty members in this complement hold chair positions: Safa Kasap (Centennial Enhancement Chair in Photonics), Brian Berscheid (Barbhold Chair in Information Technology), and Xiaodong Liang (Canada Research Chair in Technology Solutions for Energy Secuirty in Remote, Northern, and Indigenous Communities).

For international students

a cumulative weighted average of at least a 65% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (e.g. 60 credit units)a four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study
