What will I learn?

Just one of three of its kind offered across Canada, our program gives you a solid understanding of speech and language sciences, and an appreciation for the extraordinary work happening in the sector right now. You get in-depth knowledge of linguistics and its relation to language disorders. And you learn the process of diagnosis and treatment of speech, language and communication disorders.Study alongside instructors who are nationally and internationally known for their scholarship, engaged advocacy and excellence in teaching. You also have the unique opportunity for hands-on learning through relevant work placements and internships in this exciting field.What you’ll learn Gain critical skills in the research, understanding and treatment of speech, language and communication disorders.Learn how to evaluate research findings in speech and language sciences.Hands-on experiences You can pursue graduate studies or explore careers in areas such as speech and language pathology, audiology, clinical education, public policy and communication disorders.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD); Six 4U/4M courses, including ENG4U, NBE4U or FRA4U. Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Canada.
