What will I learn?

The BA (Hons) in Psychology offers a broad introduction to the field of Psychology The BA (Hons) in Psychology is taught over 3 years full-time (or 4 years part-time / blended). In the programme, students engage with the core areas of psychology, including developmental, social, and cognitive psychology, abnormal psychology, psychotherapy, and neuropsychology. A significant component of the programme is also dedicated to equipping students with a strong capability in research methods, culminating in an independent research project. This programme is accredited by The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). This BA (Hons) in Psychology is designed to provide students with a solid and broad grounding in psychology, with additional consideration of some specialist application areas in education, special education: inclusion and diversity. Students will acquire highly transferable skills that are attractive to a wide range of businesses, both within and outside the psychology sector. Students develop a solid understanding of all the core areas of psychology. Offers a broad range of electives, allowing students to focus on key areas of interest. Students have access to an experienced team of psychology lecturers. The part-time programme is taught via blended learning, a flexible option providing a mix of online and in-class delivery. Students will acquire highly transferable skills that are attractive to a wide range of businesses, both within and outside the psychology sector.
