What will I learn?

Choose from a range of Arts subjects for a degree with multifaceted perspectives. You’ll examine areas central to contemporary society, including tradition, culture, world religions, theology, law, politics, communication, human-environment relations, and human behavior. You’ll graduate with an honours degree in Politics (DC295) this course is described in more detail in the About the Course tab above. You’ll have the option to take a year abroad, extending your degree to four years and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) International. You can opt to apply for a year-long INTRA work placement in Year Three. This will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your CV, increase your employability and experience the relevance of your study in the real world. This option is competitive and subject to the availability of placements. This programme will prepare you for a variety of careers and also provides a foundation for postgraduate study.

Entry requirements

For international students

No additional entry requirements for Leaving Certificate or GCE A Level beyond the general DCU admission requirements. FET Level 5 applicants should refer to DCU Admissions and CAO QQI FET requirements. Mature entry is competitive and requires a statement of interest. Advanced Entry: Applicants with at least one year at NFQ Level 6, 7 or 8 may apply to a similar programme, subject to programme compatibility; applications close on 1 July. International applicants must have equivalent qualifications and meet DCUs English language requirements.
