What will I learn?

This is a one year full-time or two or more years part-time taught course. It is aimed at those who have a primary degree in a related subject who wish to convert this to a degree in theoretical or mathematical physics. Those holding the Higher Diploma are deemed to have reached the honours degree standard in Mathematical (Theoretical) Physics. Students take 60 credits of Mathematical Physics from the level 4 and level 3 modules. At least half the credits must be taken at level 4. All module choices are subject to approval by the course director or head of department.

Entry requirements

For international students

A Primary Degree in which Mathematical Physics or equivalent forms a substantial component. Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level.
