What will I learn?

Our internationally influential research makes significant and transformative contributions to cross-cultural knowledge and understanding in a range of fields relevant for navigating cultural diversity. We attract research students from around the world, who get close supervision and thorough research training to prepare them for careers inside and beyond academia. The School’s research in Language, Literature, and Cultural Studies is broad, covering a wide range of languages, including, but not limited to- French, German, Irish (Early and Modern), Italian, Near and Middle Eastern Languages (Hebrew, Turkish, Sumerian, Arabic, etc), Russian and Slavonic, Spanish, Japanese.

Entry requirements

For international students

Postgraduate work in Trinity College Dublin is very academically challenging and as a result the University has high academic entry requirements. Applicants will need to hold at least a 2.1 honors degree from an Irish university or equivalent result from a university in another country; a fluent command of the English language. Display a high level of competence in the English language in one of the examination systems recognised by Trinity College Dublin.
