What will I learn?

This programme is designed to foster expertise around the wider Business Analytics framework and Artificial Intelligence. Specifically, the programme explores a wide range of quantitative-based tools aimed at supporting complex decision-making in a business context. Students build core knowledge by embracing programming, statistics, data science and AI foundations then they are exposed to visualization, predictive and optimisation techniques while learning about data and AI management finally, they further refine their curriculum via different option modules with potential for a final capstone project. The ultimate goal of the programme is to educate the future Business Analysts of the world by exposing them to solid foundations and up-to-date topics.


This Master's course is delivered at our dedicated Graduate Business School campus, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, located in Blackrock, 4km from the main UCD Belfield Campus.

Entry requirements

For international students

You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), as UCD recognises formal, informal, and/or experiential learning. RPL may be awarded to gain Admission and/or credit exemptions on a programme. A minimum second class honours primary degree (or equivalent) which includes quantitative techniques, including Engineering, Computer Science and other Sciences. Applicants with a Business studies background need to have taken MIS-Management Information Systems subjects, Maths or other quantitative courses.
