What will I learn?

The MSc in One Health is the first One Health Masters programme of its kind in Ireland. Born from a global desire to prevent future pandemics and to promote health sustainably, the multifaceted MSc in One Health will equip graduates with the skills, knowledge and capabilities to have successful careers in this exciting and rapidly growing field. The MSc will offer graduates an opportunity to develop an advanced understanding of One Health theory, systems thinking, global health challenges and the policy and governance structures that influence them, while developing strong competencies in communication, cultural awareness, reflective practice, collaboration and working with uncertainty, enabling graduates to work effectively across diverse sectors, disciplines and communities. All students will complete a dissertation which can be undertaken either in Ireland (wet lab and dry lab options) or combined with a One Health Field Training trip at the RUMC campus in Malaysia (this option incurs an additional fee). This course is suitable for people with a minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) who may be starting or already working across a wide range of disciplines including health, veterinary, environment, agriculture, food systems, policy, economics, law, data and related fields.
