The Sustainable Climate Systems major addresses the complex issues of our time. It's the first major of its kind in New Zealand.We are all aware of the pressing challenges facing planet Earth today. While reducing our impact on the environment and actioning the United Nations' Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), we must plan to cope with the increasing impacts of climate change:rising temperatures and sea levelsextreme weather eventswarming oceansthe follow-on effects for our food production, agriculture, energy needs and the natural world we live in.These impacts have consequences for our health, businesses, societies and economies.
