The Bachelor of Social Work qualification will provide you with the core professional competencies and attributes required to enter the social work profession. Achieve provisional registration at the level of a beginning practitioner. This is the first step to becoming a fully registered social worker after completing two years of supervised practice. Alongside the academic component, field placement is a significant element in this programme which will enable you to get first-hand experience through voluntary work and supervised placements in a social service agency. You will also develop a range of flexible skills and professional attributes which will position you to be responsive to and to work collaboratively within the increasingly complex and interdisciplinary social service and health communities.
