What will I learn?

The Diploma for Graduates (DipGrad) endorsed in Advertising is one of the most flexible and inclusive options to study at the University of Otago. The creative industries are by nature multi-disciplinary, ranging from strategy to the arts, from copywriting to digital media production, and from research to business. Beyond the two core advertising papers MART 333, MART 469 and a MART 300-level paper, you may include papers from any department, and build a creative portfolio that suits your individual interests. This can cover creative marketing communication for careers in commerce, health sciences, sciences, and humanities. This endorsement has a special focus on how to use creative marketing for good to foster sustainable development, environmental conservation and social change.

Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Senate.Every applicant shallbe a graduate; andhave attained a satisfactory standard of academic performance; orhave submitted evidence satisfactory to the Senate of previous training and experience appropriate to the planned programme of study.
