Graduate Diploma in Science In Computer Science

New Zealand

What will I learn?

This Diploma offers people who hold a bachelor's degree in a major in an unrelated area the opportunity to study science in-depth. It is designed to provide a qualification for graduates seeking to qualify for entry to postgraduate qualifications in science, change career direction, or to extend or upgrade their existing qualifications. Graduate study emphasises the exploration of new ideas as well as putting what you have learned into context. It typically requires a much higher degree of initiative and self-reliance than an undergraduate degree. BSc(Hons) and MSc degrees are often pursued to give graduates better professional qualifications, while study at PhD level is essential preparation for careers in research and development. However, postgraduate degrees at all levels are increasingly demanded by the software industry. Entry requirements

For international students

Entry to the Graduate Diploma requires a bachelor's degree, which does not need to be in the same area of study. If you gained your qualification overseas, this will need to be assessed to ensure it is of an equivalent standard.

Acceptance will depend on the standard and relevance of previous studies.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
