What will I learn?

The Master of Nursing Science (MNSc) aims to enable registered nurses seeking postgraduate study to prepare for a variety of advanced nursing
practice and leadership roles, but not that of a Nurse Practitioner, further developing their knowledge and skills for evidence-based practice, clinical specialty
practice, advanced nursing practice, research, education and leadership.

Entry requirements

For international students

Entry to the Master of Nursing Science programme may be limited by the number of places available. The academic entry requirement for the Master of Nursing Science is one of the following: An NZQF-listed Bachelors or higher degree (or equivalent) in nursing with a minimum of the equivalent to a ‘B average as per the SIT-specified 11-point achievement-based grading system, and New Zealand Nursing Registration. It is expected that applicants will be in current clinical practice At the Head of School or Programme Managers discretion, where an applicants situation is compelling but not covered by the requirements listed above
