What will I learn?

To start the journey to becoming a chef, choose this course. This course will help you learn about a wide range of cookery techniques and disciplines, and gain confidence working in a commercial kitchen environment. You’ll learn through hands-on experience and spend 80% of your time in the kitchen putting your skills into practice. You’ll have fun and learn how to prepare all kinds of tasty dishes from delicious sauces and soups through to meat and fresh seafood. This course is delivered by The Culinary Collective, New Zealand's culinary school which is part of NZMA.

Entry requirements

For international students

Be a minimum of 17 years old. Hold an NCEA Level 1 or equivalent or New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 3) or have relevant and current industry experience. International students must: Be a minimum of 18 years old at the start of the course. Have travel and medical insurance and a valid visa.
