What will I learn?

Equip yourself with the skills to lead and manage in the business world.This diploma is designed to build your leadership and management skills so you can contribute to the achievements and performance of a business or organisation. In addition to developing your leadership skills and capabilities, this programme will equip you to: identify operational challenges contribute to business planning plan and manage projects manage workflow and productivity improve performance and processes address sustainability issues and monitor compliance to support the performance of the organisation. To complement your technical leadership and management learning, you’ll also study core areas of business including organisational structures and cultures, business functions and environments, and influences for change and innovation.

Entry requirements

For international students

All applicants must be at least 16 years of age on the date of the programme's commencement for the semester in which they wish to enrol (or provide a completed Early release form), and meet one of the following requirements: Achievement of NCEA Level 2 including: 8 Literacy credits at Level 2 or above; and 14 Numeracy credits at Level 1 or above. OR An equivalent of the above. OR Successful completion of an approved qualification at Level 3 or above with a relevant pathway. If you have undertaken examinations other than NCEA (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Examination), Ara will assess your qualification for academic entry equivalency.
