What will I learn?

To get you ready for further study or take an entry level IT role by developing your skills in hardware, software, databases, networks and creating web applications. Study in brand new, purpose-built facilities, which designed to boost your creativity and curiosity.

This programme is designed for people who need a broad, generalist understanding of Information Systems, equipping learners with the core IT skills and technical skills and knowledge to meet the needs of a range of Information Systems roles. Develop an understanding of how to provide administration and ongoing support of IT infrastructure in a range of organisations.

Entry requirements

For international students

For this programme, you will need the following:

A minimum of 14 credits at NCEA level 2 in ICT_related subjects
A minimum of 10 credits at NECA level 1 in literacy and 10 credits at NCEA level 1 in numeracy,
Be at least 16 years old by the time the programme begins,

English Language Requirements: IELTS test: Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5. TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 46 (with a writing score of 14); PTE (Academic) score of 42 with no band score lower than 36; Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First or B2 First for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill. OET: Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests. NZCEL - Level 4 (General) or (Employment). Language Cert - B2 Communicator International ESOL Written (LRW) HIGH PASS with no less than 25/50 in each skill and Spoken (S) PASS.
