What will I learn?

Explore the ways in which biological sciences are applied to animal welfare science, in what is an exciting and ever-changing field.Our Animal Welfare Science course offers a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the theory and practice of animal welfare science, offering key employability skills essential for a future career as an animal welfare scientist.This course combines academic skills development and the enhancement of wider graduate employability skills, drawing on staff expertise in teaching, research and industry. You will be taught by a range of tutors, who are nationally and internationally recognised as subject specialists. Students will study at the University of Chester’s Exton Park learning site for the full duration of the course.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants will normally be expected to hold a first degree with a minimum of 2:2 honours or equivalent. In addition, it is anticipated that students will be able to demonstrate some form of previous work experience. Where they do not, the University will assess the students application carefully for equivalence and, where necessary, the student will be required to engage with appropriate employment-related experience early during their study programme to ensure that relevant skills are embedded in their learning journey.Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of English language proficiency qualification.
