What will I learn?

Our architecture degree, accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), is your first step to a professional career in architecture.Teaching is based at our Stockwell Street Building in Heneghan Peng-designed galleries. Studio-based tutorial groups provide all the skills and knowledge you'll need via a range of approaches to architectural design.You'll learn to use design software and gain visual and drawing skills. You will also study architectural practice, the history of architecture, sustainability, contemporary theory and technology. Successful graduates will gain exemption from the RIBA Part 1 examination.**What you should know about this course**- The BA Hons Architecture programme is a first step in a professional career in architecture- Explore new technologies, emerging social conditions, contemporary cultural contexts, and theoretical / aesthetic concerns- Explore visual and tactile world, learning visual and drawing skills and the use of computer software- Visits to art galleries, museums and important buildings and lectures by eminent speakers.- #2 in London for Student Satisfaction (Guardian 2020) and #3 for learning resources (National Survey 2019).

Entry requirements

For students from United States

For standard entry to our Bachelor's programmes, you will need to have met the following: High School Diploma (GPA 3.0) OR with GED with a minimum grade of 165; SAT (Pre-March 2016 -1650/ Post-March 2016 -1100)or ACT - 24 or higher or AP-3 or above in 2 advanced placement tests. Some Bachelor's degrees allow advanced entry to year 2 or year 3, depending on your study history. If you have completed an Associate Degree in the US, you might be able to transfer directly onto year 2 of our Bachelor's programmes. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. For some undergraduate courses, you need: IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. For many of our extended degree programmes, you will need: IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
