What will I learn?

This Game Art & Design course is your launchpad into the video games industry, designed for creative minds who want to build worlds, tell stories and bring ideas to life. You won’t just play games here, you’ll learn how to create them. You’ll dive into the full creative process behind game development, exploring narrative design and world building, shaping your own characters, environments and stories. Then you’ll take those ideas further, learning how to plan, design and build them using professional tools, including 3D modelling and industry-standard game engines like Unreal Engine 5. This is a hands-on course where you’ll create your own interactive projects, developing your ideas from rough concepts all the way through to a fully playable demo. Along the way, you’ll analyse and take inspiration from both indie games and major AAA titles, understanding what makes them successful and how you can reach that level. You’ll also get real insight into the creative industry and build a portfolio that stands out to top universities and future employers.
