What will I learn?

A one year top-up to an honours degree for those who have a Higher National Diploma or Foundation Degree in a Computing related discipline to develop practical skills and apply research and critical thinking to solve problems using appropriate technologies. Undergraduates develop relevant academic skills as have exposure to develop solutions with relevant industrial tools.The programme is delivered by education professionals with extensive computing knowledge as well as industrial and commercial experience. The programme is based in the Centre for Advanced Technical Studies with access to hardware for internet of things and connected devices. Classrooms and computing laboratories are furnished with up-to-date software and networking equipment, to provide the latest technology and university standard resources. Students also undertake visits to employers and conferences, e.g. Euro Gamer Expo, and participate in a series of guest speaker lecturers from local and national employers as well as international companies, for example, we have had talks from Sony Playstation, IBM and Microsoft, all designed to enhance skills, knowledge and employment opportunities.
