Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are typically required to have A-levels in the range of CCC–CCD; however, this course is also suitable for non-standard entrants, including mature applicants returning to study with science qualifications below the standard requirements for direct degree entry. Applicants must have studied A-level Biology and achieved a minimum of grade 4 (C) in both English Language and Mathematics at GCSE (or equivalent). T-level qualifications are accepted for admission, with grades considered equivalent to A-level requirements as follows: AAA* corresponds to Distinction (A* in the core component and Distinction in the occupational specialism), AAA to Distinction, BBB to Merit, CCC to Pass (with at least a C in the core), and DDD to Pass (with a D or E in the core), and where subject-specific A-level requirements apply, applicants offering T-levels may also be required to present the relevant A-level subject alongside their T-level qualification.
