What will I learn?

This full-time MSc Endodontics will give you the skills to practise endodontics independently at a tier 2 level, also defined as special interest. Study either full time over one year or part time over two years. The programme has a strong clinical bias, and includes direct clinical supervision while treating NHS patients at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. This clinical MSc is the ideal choice for students looking to develop a broad understanding of Endodontics, including the basic principles and knowledge and how to apply them clinically. We take a novel approach to building and integrating cognitive, technical and clinical skills in various domains to help set the foundation for developing your expertise. Correct adoption of the processes empowers you to progress towards mastery both during and beyond the programme. Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits. The programme consists of five core modules (120 credits) and a research dissertation (60 credits). If you study full-time, you will attend five days a week throughout the year (except UCL closure days). On the part-time programme, you will attend five days a week for the first 12 weeks and three days a week after that. Aided by the programme's reputation and developed skills, most students secure posts before finishing. The programme is suitable for GDC registered general dental practitioners who want to extend their knowledge and skills in Endodontics and deliver these services as part of their portfolio. Those who excel may also choose to teach the discipline to students and fellow dentists on a part-time basis.
