What will I learn?

BA (Hons) Fine Art with Integrated Foundation Year and Professional Practice Year is a five-year degree programme, including a foundation year to help develop your skills and creativity before you start the first year of the degree course and your fourth year would be an industry placement to further develop your skills and CV.Find your voice at a specialist art school – with the space and freedom to think big.Join a thriving creative community rooted in over a century of art school heritage. With dedicated studio spaces, project rooms, specialist workshops, and resident artists as tutors – you'll get the space, time, and direction to think big and experiment freely.Painting, sculpture, performance, film, installation, fabrication – the form your work takes is yours to decide. There's no house style here and no right way to do Fine Art. You'll be supported to find and develop your own creative voice by making, testing, and taking creative risks in a culture that treats experimentation as an essential part of the process.And at Canterbury – with easy connections to Margate's Turner Contemporary, Folkestone’s Triennial, London’s galleries, and the Eurostar – you'll be part of a growing artistic community in one of the UK’s most historically rich cities.
