What will I learn?

Our BSc (Hons) Geography degree brings together the study of physical and human geography, to examine the complex connections between the Earth's surfaces and people, culture, and society. You will explore a range of geographical topics, from focusing on the Earth's dynamic systems, natural hazards and the ongoing challenge of climate change, to cultural, economic, political and social forces shaping contemporary cities. You will gain essential skills and training in GIS and data analysis, combined with practical experience through fieldwork and laboratory research, equipping you with the skills to address global challenges and pursue careers in geography and environmental management. While our flagship Dalton building provides outstanding teaching and research facilities, some of the best learning happens beyond the classroom.
