What will I learn?

This interdisciplinary programme introduces students to the cultures and societies of Africa, Asia and the Middle East through their languages, literatures and screen culture, providing an understanding of the interconnectedness of these regions in an increasingly globalised world. Students will choose to specialise in one particular region through their languages and module choices, with an optional Year Abroad at one of our partner universities. In combination with History, this degree programme provides a high standard of training in history as an academic discipline. Students will develop an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the history of Africa and Asia.
