What will I learn?

The Foundation Year in History forms part of an integrated four-year degree programme and is designed for students who do not currently meet the admissions criteria for direct entry onto a degree course.This course invites you to explore History through engaging themes and topics, while developing essential skills in research, critical thinking and communication. Throughout the year you’ll learn to analyse sources, think critically about the past, and communicate your ideas clearly. With active teaching, reflective tasks and applied assessments, you’ll gain a strong academic foundation and transferable skills to progress into the History degree and beyond.
