This level 6 one-year top-up degree consolidates and elevates the interior and spatial design skills established in level 4 and 5, empowering students to transition confidently into professional practice.With a unique level of autonomy, you will apply industry research to design your own project brief that responds to the needs of the sector and the changing shape of the interior, architectural and design industries.The academic year follows the design cycle allowing you to plan, develop and realise projects with specialist tutor support, building a portfolio that represents your personal design style and skillset. You are encouraged to collaborate with your peers, participate in workshops and engage with guest speakers to develop professional competencies.Informed by industry experts, this degree gives you the opportunity to engage with live briefs, facilitating experience of vocational demands, expectations and standards. The programme team collaborates with respected local studios including George Smith, Aptus and AND + Studios: some of which may provide a live brief and guest talks.
