What will I learn?

Prepare for direct entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree in Architecture at Newcastle University. Study a design-led course covering key aspects of architecture with an emphasis on space, materiality and aesthetic qualities. Expand your skilla and knowledge through hands-on projects and tasks, including two to three dimensions,sketching and drawing techniques and constructing models. Learn how to research, analyse and present your work effectively. Gain Practical experience in our specialist architecture studio and through field trips. Upon successful completion of this programme, you will be awarded our International Foundation Certificate.

Entry requirements

For international students

Academic Requirements: Completion of 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades. Additional Information: You will be expected to provide a portfolio as part of the application. Your portfolio should demonstrate core skills and illustrate your genuine interest in architecture. The portfolio will be carefully assessed according to outlined criteria. Portfolios that do not comply with these guidelines will not be considered suitable for entry and applicants will be required to resubmit. Portfolios will be assessed at key times throughout the academic year.
