What will I learn?

China’s growing power. Expansionist Russia. Unstable and democratically backsliding US. Join us to unpick the major geopolitical realignment happening right now and the evolving relationships between countries. With teaching informed by research, you’ll examine issues like mass migration and economic crisis. Then we’ll discuss social, economic, and political interactions of key actors in world politics. This course is all about broadening your perspective. Elective modules are designed to expose you to different topics. And just by joining this vibrant department, you’ll meet students from across the globe in small group seminars.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have 2:2 honours degree. Prospective students should have an undergraduate honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant subject area such as politics, international relations, history, geography, or economics.
