On our LLB (Hons) Law and Business course, you’ll learn to think like a lawyer, and also understand how law and businesses interact. You’ll learn to appreciate the commercial settings that both law firms and businesses operate in. You’ll be given the opportunity to work on live legal and business cases. And, you’ll be provided with the the knowledge, skills and experience to thrive in a vastly more complex and competitive business environment.The connections between the law and modern business sector have grown stronger with time. In fact, many large businesses now employ their own teams of lawyers, who are expected to understand the commercial world. Lawyers acting for commercial clients will have an advantage if they understand the general business environment and sectors in which firms operate. People working for businesses will benefit if they have a strong grounding in the law.You will be taught a mixture of law and business modules, which will allow you to become a solicitor or barrister, but provide additional skills and training which will also allow you to enter the business sector. You will be given a wide range of opportunities to gain legal and practical skills in law and business, ranging from time in legal and business clinics, to work placements with regional and national firms in the legal or commercial sectors.*This degree provides you with the option of graduating with a qualifying law degree by studying the modules highlighted below. A qualifying law degree is only needed for those wishing to pursue a career as a barrister. If you wish to qualify as a solicitor, a qualifying law degree is no longer needed
