What will I learn?

The Management MSc equips students with analytical and strategic skills to lead organisations in complex environments. Through either the Finance or Corporate pathway options, students explore core areas of business and management, supported by innovative, research-led teaching and practical applications. The programme prepares graduates for global careers in consulting, finance, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles across all industries. The MSc Management at UCL School of Management equips students to lead and innovate in today’s complex global business landscape. As a multidisciplinary field, management draws on economics, psychology, strategy, and data analytics to understand how organisations create value, adapt to change, and make strategic decisions in uncertain environments. This programme provides the analytical tools and practical insight needed to navigate these challenges and drive meaningful impact. Delivered from the School's offices in Canary Wharf, London, the programme offers two tailored pathways, Finance and Corporate, aligned with your academic backgrounds and career ambitions. Both pathways provide an intensive education in management theory and practice, combining lectures, workshops, and case-based learning. You'll develop critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills essential for professional success. The curriculum promotes personal and professional growth through a learn-how-to-learn approach, preparing graduates for lifelong learning and leadership. You'll graduate with a deep understanding of diverse organisations and their management, applying theory and analytical techniques to evaluate business information and manage people, organisations, and external environments effectively. Throughout the year, students engage with faculty whose research is recognised as world-leading and internationally excellent (REF 2021). The School’s research groups focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, operations, marketing analytics, and organisational behaviour - core areas we believe are shaping the future of business and leadership. Students also participate in consultancy projects, career development workshops, and international summer schools, building a strong foundation for global careers. The programme is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), reflecting its high standards in teaching, curriculum design, and career support. The MSc Management suits students with a proactive mindset, strong analytical potential, and a desire to grow as collaborative leaders in uncertain, increasingly complex environments. You’ll be expected to work in teams, think strategically, challenge ideas, and build lasting connections with a global cohort (the 2024-2025 cohort comprised 56 nationalities). We welcome applicants from diverse educational backgrounds and nationalities, united by a shared drive to succeed and contribute to a vibrant academic community.
