Master of Public Health The main MPH pathway focuses on the competencies required for the evolving public health sector in the UK. 2. Master of Public Health (Global Public Health) The MPH (Global Public Health) pathway is ideal for those aiming to develop careers in global settings. Both pathways provide the expertise and practical skills needed to thrive in diverse public health environments. Programme highlights Expertise and networking: Benefit from the internationally recognized expertise within the Department of Public Health, Policy and Systems. Network with guest speakers who are leading professionals in the field. Multidisciplinary approach: Learn how public health professionals can collaborate to address health inequalities by tackling the wider determinants of health and wellbeing. Comprehensive understanding: Gain a critical understanding of how social, economic, and political systems shape population health outcomes and contribute to health inequalities. Research skills: Acquire practical experience in designing, conducting, and analysing epidemiological and qualitative research. Learn how social science theories can enhance public health policies. Curriculum The MPH (main pathway) aligns with the UK Faculty of Public Health specialty training curriculum and is a core component of approved public health specialty training programs for Health Education North West (HENW). This prepares you for the UK Faculty of Public Health Part A examinations and equips you for leadership roles in public health research, practice, and policy. Established in 1989, the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is internationally respected for its multidisciplinary focus and commitment to the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Health for All principles. Entry requirements

For international students

The Master of Public Health (MPH) programme is available to any University graduate in a health or health-related profession, as well as non-health-related graduates and others approved by the University. The entry requirements are as follows: We require a Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.
