What will I learn?

This joint honours degree offers the opportunity to study two different subjects together, whilst having the freedom to follow your own interests.Compulsory modules in each subject will equip you with an understanding of mathematical structures and techniques while teaching you how to think clearly, analyse ideas and construct effective arguments. You’ll choose from an impressive range of optional modules on morality, knowledge, the nature of reality, the self, logic, philosophy of the mind, race, science and religion alongside algebra and calculus, statistical methods, and applied mathematics.It’s an excellent way to gain a broad range of expertise and graduate with both the knowledge and transferable skills that employers value.

A-level: AAB including A in Mathematics.Other course specific tests: Where an applicant is taking the EPQ in a relevant subject this might be considered alongside other Level 3 qualifications and may attract an alternative offer in addition to the standard offer. If you are taking A Levels, this would be either ABB at A Level including A in Mathematics and grade A in the EPQ.We welcome applications from mature students with Access qualifications, and from students with a wide range of qualifications.Alternative qualification Access to HE Diploma Pass diploma with 60 credits overall, including at least 45 credits at level 3, of which 30 credits must be at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit or higher.
