You’ll learn from experts in both disciplines.Our modules are based on the latest research. You’ll experience contemporary concepts in mathematics and gain a solid grounding in how they apply outside of the classroom. Early on in your degree you take core modules, preparing you for your third year when you choose from a variety of options including:- financial mathematics- financial risk management- valuation of companies and cash flow generating assets- derivatives.You’ll develop your analytical and modelling skills using industry-standard software such as MATLAB, Python and R.Academic advisers support you throughout and you’ll have lots of opportunities to engage with potential employers. You’ll also have a dedicated careers adviser. Our graduates have gone to work in a range of industries including:- finance and accounting- banking and investment- risk analysis- insurance.You’ll graduate with the skills needed for success in the financial sector. Their dedication and support will help you to get the most from your degree.**Accreditation**This programme will meet the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, when it is followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competences to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught masters degrees.**MMath or BSc?**We also offer this course as a four-year MMath.**Location**Study on our beautiful, green campus on the edge of the South Downs National Park and just minutes from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton & Hove.
