What will I learn?

Virtually any machine or process you can think of in modern life has benefited from the input of a mechanical engineer. Mechanical engineers are responsible for the analysis, design and manufacture of an enormous range of industrial products and systems; almost anything with moving parts, from washing machines and wind turbines to automobiles and aircraft. As a mechanical engineer, you will use your creative and inventive skills to design and improve products and processes alongside fundamental:- physics- complex mathematics- state-of-the-art engineering softwareStudying mechanical engineering will open doors to increasingly diverse fields, including: - bioengineering - medical engineering - nanotechnology - sports engineering - renewable energy **Ties to industry** Our Industrial Liaison Board includes senior representatives from important industrial companies. Entry requirements

For students from United States

Required subjects: A Levels: English Literature, English Language or combined English at B, and a language other than English at B. GCSEs: French at B or 6 (if not at A Level). English Language and English Literature GCSE, both at A or 7, are accepted in place of A Level English.
