What will I learn?

In the foundation year, you’ll attain the academic and practical skills required which will enable you to progress onto the first year of your degree course, provided the relevant progression criteria are met. You will build your confidence in Biology, Engineering, Chemistry and Maths, and apply your theoretical knowledge in practical lab sessions.Modules will include:• Introductory Mathematics• Intermediate Mathematics• Foundation Science• Foundation Engineering• Practical and Professional SkillsOur Mechanical Engineering courses are highly practical and use real examples and projects from industry. With our brand-new engineering courses we are taking these experiences to the next level with a revolutionary approach to teaching engineering.Mechanical engineering is a large, established field of engineering. It covers the design and manufacture of small components and devices right through to large scale items and systems. Also, recent, rapid developments in technology, such as 3D printing, have changed the face of mechanical engineering. 136 UCAS Tariff points from three A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, including A-level grade A in Biology and A-level grade B in Chemistry, Physics or Maths or equivalent.
