What will I learn?

The MSc Mechanical Engineering is aligned to the University’s development of a new STEM building, and a developing relationship with The Welding Institute based in Cambridge. This course development will bring together postgraduate taught courses with a new exciting research centre development to offer a distinctive offer in which students will undertake field trips in a state-of-the-art engineering and business facility whilst benefiting from access to state-of-the-art facilities in our new STEM building in Luton.

You will develop a sound training in mechanical engineering, together with the skills required for lifelong learning so you will be well prepared for a range of careers. There is an emphasis on the latest technologies in use within the mechanical engineering sector that will help you to develop your understanding of real life applications of theory to a range of experiences and tools that will assist you in your career choice.

For international students

Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree at Honours level, or equivalent. IELTS overall score of 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each element; TOEFL iBT - Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Speaking: 20, Writing: 17.
