Learning industry-standard software, underpinned with solid design thinking, you will develop your own unique combination of creative and technical skills and graduate as an agile and industry-ready motion designer.This course combines digital technology and creative design to equip students with the full range of theoretical and practical skills required for a successful career in the entertainment and creative industries. It will open up opportunities for all budding motion designers, animators, filmmakers and visual effects compositors to realise their potential.The course covers key areas including animation, storytelling, graphic design, 3D graphics, video production, interactive content creation and digital compositing. It also explores the historical, contextual and future potential of motion graphic design.Using the latest industry-standard specialist software, students create contemporary motion graphics, both 2D and 3D for film, digital TV, mobile, web, games, and other creative outlets.Key study topics include:- Short form narrative (animation and live action)- Animation- Visual communication and typography- Live action- Information design- Branding- Cross media concept development- History, context and future potential of motion graphic design.

Successful completion of one year of undergraduate degree with a GPA of at least 3.0. Your previous college credits earned will be evaluated by our academics to ensure they are equivalent to the first year of study at Ravensbourne.
