MPhil in English - Creative writing

MPhil, normally of two years duration. The first year comprises the taught components of an MLitt, and the second a thesis of no more than 40,000 words. Applicants who already hold a suitable Masters or MLitt degree may be eligible for admittance directly to the second year of an MPhil degree. The Creative Writing research group works with students on developing their prose or poetry skills. The group, which includes John Burnside, Robert Crawford, Oliver Emanuel, Lesley Glaister, Zinnie Harris, Oli Hazzard, Emma Jones and Don Paterson has produced a range of widely-reviewed and prizewinning work, not only in the UK, but also through Europe, the United States and the Far-East.
