What will I learn?

Build your research skills in neuroscience on this Master's course, designed to prepare you for further PhD research study. You will be taught by leaders in fields of research such as cell and molecular biology, genetics, neuropathology, imaging and computation, equipping you to make more informed choices for your own research. You'll complete three 12-week projects during the year, and gain practical experience of laboratory research while building a range of transferable skills. For each project, you'll work with different research groups to experience a broad range of laboratory environments and practical techniques pertinent to this field. On completing the course, you will have a thorough understanding of the field of neuroscience and a range of transferable skills that will make you a desirable candidate for roles within academia, research organisations and pharmaceutical companies.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have a minimum requirement of 2.1 degree in an appropriate subject. All candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency for admission to the College. Students need to have IELTS – Academic (Test-Centre/UKVI SELT/Online) with 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in all elements) for Standard level and 7.0 overall (minimum 6.5 in all elements) for Higher level. TOEFL iBT with 92 overall (minimum 20 in all elements) for Standard and 100 overall (minimum 22 in all elements) for Higher level.
