Designed for all kinds of graduates from any discipline, this course is ideal for anyone with a strong interest in the foundations of accounting and finance and looking for a role in the financial sector. If you fancy understanding how the accounting and finance sector operates and how it influences stakeholders, including managers, finance providers and government, this is the course for you. Our MSc Accounting and Finance programme is designed specifically to help you develop an understanding of accounting and finance in global organisations. It will provide you with important training for careers in the accounting and financial sectors. You’ll develop key professional and research skills, as well as an understanding of ethical business practice throughout your year-long course. The modules will cover the foundations of finance, the financial market and public sector finance and taxation. You’ll then undertake a final research project, which can be either a dissertation or a business-based project. You’ll be studying on campus at the internationally renowned Hull University Business School, with access to a full range of professional business information services including Reuters Datastream, Bloomberg, Bankscope, and FAME to enhance your data exploration.

When it comes to applying for this Postgraduate Taught degree, you'll need an Undergraduate degree (or equivalent). For this course, you'll need a 2:2 in any bachelors degree. The programme is designed for graduates from any discipline with a strong interest in the foundations of this subject. If youre an undergraduate student at Hull, youre guaranteed a fast-track route to this postgraduate degree, as long as you meet the entry requirements. In order to ensure our students have a rich learning and student experience, most of our programmes have a mix of domestic and international students. We reserve the right to close applications early to either group if application volumes suggest that this blend cannot be achieved.
