What will I learn?

Course overview:Undertake advanced study in chemical engineering on this one-year Master's course. This varied programme will also broaden your understanding of basic sciences, mathematics and computing techniques. Studying this course prepares you with a strong foundation of chemical engineering fundamentals and the ability to apply these to industry. This general stream allows you more choice in what you modules you study, allowing you to focus on your areas of interest.When you graduate, you'll be able to apply the concepts of sustainability, waste minimisation, clean technology and green chemistry to quantify the environmental impact of selected chemical engineering operations and design optimal strategies for pollution abatement.You'll learn through a mixture of taught modules and a research project. Your project can be carried out at Imperial, within industry or at an approved institution. Professional accreditation: This course is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers.Accreditation aims to raise standards and foster good practice. Accreditation helps provide a pathway to qualify as a Chartered Chemical Engineer (MIChemE) and registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Engineering Council.
