MSc Digital Finance and Data Analytics

What will I learn?

Finance is becoming increasingly digital, data-driven and code-led. From AI-powered decision-making and digital currencies to smart banking and platform-based finance, organisations now need professionals who can combine financial insight with advanced data and analytical capability. The MSc Digital Finance and Data Analytics is designed to develop exactly that skill set. You’ll build a strong understanding of financial markets and international financial institutions while specialising in digital finance technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and digital assets. Alongside financial theory, you’ll develop practical skills in coding, big data analysis, econometrics and data modelling - enabling you to work confidently with complex financial datasets and digital financial systems. This course prepares you to analyse, interpret and design technology-enabled financial solutions, while understanding the regulatory, ethical and market forces shaping digital finance. You’ll learn to apply advanced analytical tools critically, evaluate evidence, and turn data into insight that informs real financial decisions. In your final semester, you’ll complete a hands-on consultancy project, applying your knowledge to real-world financial data and strengthening your profile for careers in digital finance, data analytics and FinTech-focused roles.
