What will I learn?

Overview This MSc programme explores how multinational companies compete globally and impact economies in both developed and developing countries. You’ll learn how firms are structured, and gain a broad understanding of international business, connecting the 'micro' firm view with the 'macro' view of countries and regions. What is unique to Henley’s Masters in International Business? In the module The Evolution of Multinational Enterprises students will explore distinct international business approaches of US and European multinationals versus those from emerging markets. Offered exclusively on the Masters in International Business programme, students will have the opportunity to delve into the emergence of digital giants like Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, and Google, as well as tech start-ups. The module provides a theoretical foundation on multinational corporations, and students will gain insights into government perspectives on multinational growth and learn about strategies employed by countries to attract foreign direct investment. You will be assessed through a variety of teaching methods depending on your chosen postgraduate course, including: online materials group assignments case studies field visits presentations consultancy work examinations Most of the core modules are assessed through coursework, including group projects, individual reflective reports, presentations, and individual portfolios. A small number of modules include exams, with these typically contributing between 40 to 60% towards the overall module grade. Students are required to choose between a written dissertation (40 credits) or a project (20 credits) as part of their final assessment.
